Lost Love

Lost Love
070404

One of those cozy nights,
Beyond the clouds is the silver light.
Behind the stars there’s a lonely soul.
Waiting for someone to whisper her call.

All night long he waited.
‘Till the moment the dawn breaks.
Blinded by the sun he hissed.
When it warmth his cold hallow cheeks.

A young maiden came late.
With purple flowers on her callused hands.
Innocence and beauty on her face,
Obscured the pain and tears as she gazed.

Longing with agony, a heart with fears,
Uttering words unsaid through tears.
As these crystal drops gently fall.
Happiness it gives to this thirsty soul.

When she left the solemn place
Another time he will wait.
As he dance beneath the candle light.
He’ll wait for the dark to hug his cold tomb.

Why is it that some love never dies?
Within the valley of death still it lies.
I wonder why? Though I know love is bliss.
With these two souls love is grief.

Again he’ll wait…
