“I” for Immoral

“I” for Immoral

Sonnet

What is real and what is considered true?
In a world of lies, pain and fantasy!
Tell me if it is not right to love you.
I’m willing to break the rules, let me be!
Forgive me! If it’s my soul what it costs.
But what is more? Oh! For a heart not loved.
For heaven’s out of reach and hell’s too cold!
Belongs nowhere not even to your heart.
Created my world where no one desired.
Traitor to what is right, made my own lies.
No one knows when I bleed or when I tired.
But just me and the love that never dies.
If in this world hope and beauty wither.
Love, forbidden it seems, my heart’s offer.
